Dear Parents and Carers
In the light of recent developments and following the Government’s approach to managing the Coronavirus, I am writing to update you on the situation at St Michael’s School.
The school remains open. However, given the government’s guidance to avoid any unnecessary social contact, our activities will be restricted to those within the school day and we will not be holding events that bring visitors into the school.
The following activities are postponed until the situation improves:
- Maths Information evening 18.3.20
- Reception sharing assembly 20.3.20
- Yr 2/3 performances during the week beginning 23.3.20
- Yr 1 sharing assembly 27.3.20
- School services in church
We have also been informed that the Alban Arena choir concert has been cancelled.
Lower School children should start at Lower School every day.
We will continue to ensure the children and staff are washing their hands regularly and thoroughly. Please ensure your child is bringing in a water bottle from home and we will continue to prompt them to drink regularly.
Please also follow the government advice regarding self-isolation for 14 days if anyone in your household develops a new and persistent cough or a fever.
Thank you for your continued support and co-operation during this unprecedented and challenging period.
